Consumers in Japan can feel the pressure! Not only shouldn’t they forget about Valentine’s day on February 14th, but they’re also supposed to buy a present today – one month later – at White Day. In fact, Japanese women give their present – very often white chocolate – at the first occasion, the men – preferably a slightly bigger box of chocolates – at the latter.
Here are two posters I created for both occasions – ordered by a chain of shopping centers I already worked for at Christmas time – showing people in 4 different situations giving presents to their loved ones, friends, colleagues and relatives. Above, the characters are still wearing warm winter clothes, below spring is in the air (check the skirts).
